Leadership & dialogue
Youth Leadership Forum
Convening the next generation of servant leaders across Africa.
Programme overview
The Youth Leadership Forum creates a setting for emerging leaders to exchange perspectives, strengthen their sense of responsibility and connect leadership with service. It brings attention to the challenges young people face in their communities and the qualities needed to respond with integrity. Dialogue and learning are connected with practical questions: how to organise a team, build cooperation and turn a shared concern into constructive action. Cross-border exchange adds a wider perspective while respecting the different contexts in which national chapters work.
Inside the programme
Leadership rooted in character
The forum connects leadership practice with integrity, empathy and accountability. Conversations can examine how leaders make decisions, handle competing priorities and maintain trust within a team. The purpose is to encourage service-minded leadership that values people and shared goals, rather than authority or recognition alone.
Dialogue & collaborative learning
Young leaders bring different experiences of education, civic life and community work. Exchanging these perspectives can reveal shared challenges and approaches worth learning from. Thoughtful discussion makes room for disagreement, encourages respectful listening and helps participants consider how ideas from another setting might be adapted rather than copied without context.
From conversation to commitment
A valuable forum leaves space for practical follow-through. Participants can reflect on an issue they want to address, identify collaborators and consider a realistic next step within their own chapter or community. Documented follow-up helps connect the energy of a gathering with sustained engagement, while recognising that each initiative needs its own local planning.
